About Me

I am a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario.

My style as a therapist is present, curious, warm, non-judgmental, challenging, and intuitive. I try to ask the right questions to help my clients reach their own insights.

I strive to be sensitive, open and respectful towards the diverse and intersecting cultural backgrounds of my clients (e.g. gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, ability).

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for 10+ years in strategy and management positions in the corporate sector. I also hold a BA in Film Studies from Western University and a MBA from Ivey Business School.

During my career in business I struggled with lack of meaning and purpose. In 2011 I had my first anxiety attack at work. When it happened on multiple occasions, I realized: “Oh no! There is something wrong here.”

I began seeing a therapist. I learned that the anxiety was the tip of the iceberg. Under the surface were deeper issues related to insecurity, identity, and disconnection from purpose.

Since then, my own inner journey has also included a lot of studying about psychology, spirituality and mythology, and developing practices that help me feel grounded and inspired. These include writing, yoga, meditation, and time in nature.

In 2015 I attended my first ayahuasca retreat in the Peruvian Amazon. In 2017 I returned for a 3-month volunteer program to support more than 100 retreat participants. A crucial part of these retreats are the group sharing circles which allow people to open up about their lives and their issues. I had a clear insight that I wanted to work at this level of depth with others.

From 2016-2020, I studied Existential-Integrative Psychotherapy at the Living Institute in Toronto.

I now feel that I’ve found my path. I love my work. It’s an honour to be invited to join my clients on their journeys. And I’m thrilled that I have a lifetime of practicing and learning ahead of me.
